On New Year's Day 2026, intrepid Tulsa Bicycle Club members will gather, as they have for over twenty years, to usher in the New Year with a short bicycle ride, black-eyed-peas, for good luck for the year don't ya know!
What better way to begin a new cycling year?
We'll gather regardless of the weather ... that said and this being Oklahoma, it could be in the 70's on New Year's Day! Oh well, all the better for a nice ride. And if it's cold and nasty, we'll circle the parking lot a few times on our bikes.
The New Year's Day post-ride-gathering will will include black-eyed pea salad (thank you Connie!) and both alcoholic and non-alcoholic bubbly to toast the new year. Mike will show up with a big pot of something hot and good. And if it's cold we'll have a roaring fire going to warm your fingers and toes.
